1811

The First Settler

Jairus Rose builds the first home where Sanborn stands today, marking the start of local settlement.

1846

A Community Finds Its Name

Rev. Sanborn arrives, and the hamlet is officially renamed in his family’s honor.

1876

Business Takes Hold

1908

The Exchange Hotel Opens

1. How do I become a member?

It’s easy! Just fill out our membership form and submit it by mail or in person. You’ll find everything you need on our Contact page.

2. Who can join the Association?

Any business owner, entrepreneur, or supporter of the Sanborn community is welcome — whether you have a storefront or just a strong local connection.

3. How often do meetings take place?

We meet once a month on the third Thursday at 8:30 AM. Meetings are casual, productive, and open to all members.

4. How can I participate in community events?

Members are invited to volunteer, sponsor, or get involved in planning events like the Farm Festival and Christmas at the Farm. We’re always looking for helping hands!

5. Is there a fee to join?

Yes — it’s just $30 per year to become a member. Your dues help support marketing, events, and our community efforts.
